The Book of Hebrews was written to deal with the problem of persecution in the Land of Israel … as opposed to the Books of James & 1 Peter, which deal with persecution of the Jews who live outside of the Land (the Diaspora).

The Book of Hebrews was written by someone in the Diaspora to the Jewish believers in the Land of Israel. The First Century Messianic Jewish community was faced with 2 major problems - persecution (Book of Hebrews) & false doctrine (II Peter & Jude).

There are lessons in the Book of Hebrews for all believers, as well as specific issues that are true only of Jewish believers.
