Life at Laidley Baptist Church.
Laidley Baptist Church is a Gospel-centered Church. LBC was founded in the late 1800s by German settlers in the Blenheim district. Today LBC is a vibrant community of believers who seek to live out their purpose as the body of Christ.
LBC is currently in transition having sold its building at 25 Samuel Street, Laidley some years ago. We are now looking forward to building a new multi-purpose building on a larger property in the Laidley district due to recent growth in Church size. In the meantime LBC meets at the Laidley Cultural Centre on Sunday mornings at 9.30am. Doors open at 8.30am.
The congregation of LBC is a reflection of the demographics of the local area. The Church is a Bible-based family church where people of all ages are welcome.
Some of our ministries include -
Sunday School for primary age children during the sermon time at Church during school terms.
Youth Group for teens, normally on Friday nights during Qld. school terms. Combined with MInden Baptist Church.
LifeGroups for all ages at various times during the week. Small groups for Christian fellowship and learning.
Come & See Bible Study - Course of 50 Messianic Studies in the Scriptures for those who want to go deeper in learning the Scriptures (currently Monday nights 7.15 - 9.15pm) Supper is served.
Ladies Craft Group (Country Friends) is held on Friday mornings. For ladies to find Christian fellowship while they learn new crafts. Please contact the Church Secretary (Desley) for more information.
Mens Group is for men of all ages on the first Thursday evening of each month at the Church house at 7 Breuer Street where Christian men learn how to follow Christ and share in fellowship together. [ Currently in recess ]
Ladies KYB Group is for women desiring to grow spiritually by studying the Scriptures. It is held on Thursdays at 1.15pm at Annett’s house (2023). Please contact the Church Secretary (Desley) for more information.
Worship Team is for musicians, singers and worship leaders to grow in their gift. Our worship team gathers on Sunday mornings before Church for worship rehearsal.
